History

In 1998 will.i.am and apl.de.ap met and began rapping and performing around Los Angeles. Then they both signed up to Ruthless record which was run by Eazy E. Soon after this three other rappers joined the band. Their first band name was ATBAN Klann (A tribe beyond a nation). Their first album was never released because Eazy E died. Soon the band split up but regrouped again but this time with will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and Fergie. This was how the Black eyed peas were born.
